Lorsque nous sommes dans le chaos et l'anxiété, l'envie de faire quelque chose devient plus forte. Pour ainsi dire, l'ennui d'être enfermé à l'intérieur au début de cette année a motivé ce nouveau projet de livre photo, Still Life. En 2020, où que nous soyons, nous avons tous vécu une situation similaire mais pas la même. Lorsque les photographes sont contraints par la réalité, ou pris dans une bataille contre l'ennui et l'anxiété, on ne peut s'empêcher de se demander, sans les déclencheurs de la prise de vue, où irait leur objectif ? La « photographie » existera-t-elle encore ?
Nous avons invité des photographes que nous suivons de près. Dans ce projet, une intervention a été imposée sur leurs sujets librement choisis, chaque photographe doit créer ses histoires à l'intérieur avec un équipement limité. En conséquence, le collectif photographique Still Life comprend 13 œuvres de différents photographes du monde entier.
Le titre Still Life vient du genre principal de l'art occidental, qui était doté d'une belle signification - la vie est immobile. Ici, dans ce livre, "Still Life" est considéré comme une métaphore de l'état de continuer à vivre dans cette situation difficile - dans le contexte de la pandémie, un état relativement calme dans lequel nous nous trouvons tous.

Meet the Maker
Considered one of Denmark’s greatest and most influential architects, Mogens Lassen pioneered Danish Functionalism, taking his cues from Bauhaus sensibilities. His interior designs are a natural continuation of his architectural approach and add energy and atmosphere to everyday living spaces and tasks. From decorative objects to larger furniture designs, his designs delicately balance presence without drawing undue attention, finding their natural place in any space.
