Constructed in Los Angeles using scraps of artificial stone, the collectible Mama Seymour lamp embodies everything we love about the Memphis Movement. It's a larger and heavier version of the original seymour lamp. They look alike because mama seymour gave birth to seymour and since lamps are asexual - they share the exact same genetic code.

Designed and hand-made in Los Angeles from scratch by Leonard Bessemer of cult favorite design studio Objects for Objects, this is one of our favorite playful additions to the design collection at Son of Rand.

Dimensions w/o Bulb:
9 1/2” h x .4 1/2” w x 3” d  (12 1/2" h w/ Bulb)

Details: Edison Socket (E26) with LED in-line dimmer switch with 6ft cable and Tala LED porcelain bulb. (European 220V option available upon request)

about the designer

Objects for Objects is a Los Angeles based furniture and design studio founded in 2017 by Leonard Bessemer. As a self-taught carpenter, Leonard cut his teeth working with the sculptor, David Thorpe, in Berlin. This experience had a large influence on the sculptural approach he took with his design practice. Leonards goal is to create furniture and objects that are collectible and valued for their existence as a visual and spatial objects; not just for their function. He does this in hope that they will be better cared for, repaired, and passed on as they age. Leonards work has been featured in the pages of Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and Sight Unseen, among others.
