"Finding Son of Rand was like stumbling upon a secret world of design I didn’t know I needed. Everything they carry has a story and a point of view. It’s where I go when I want to be inspired, or when I need the perfect gift that actually means something."

Son of Rand is my happy place online. Their curation is bold, warm, and playful - like design should be. It’s where I find pieces that make my space feel like me, and I always end up adding one or two extra things I didn’t even know I wanted."

Meet the Maker

Objects for Objects is a Los Angeles based furniture and design studio founded in 2017 by Leonard Bessemer. As a self-taught carpenter, Leonard cut his teeth working with the sculptor, David Thorpe, in Berlin. This experience had a large influence on the sculptural approach he took with his design practice. Leonards goal is to create furniture and objects that are collectible and valued for their existence as a visual and spatial objects; not just for their function. He does this in hope that they will be better cared for, repaired, and passed on as they age.

Leonards work has been featured in the pages of Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and Sight Unseen, among others.
